The Opportunity

We are pleased to invite applications for the position of Tool Store Administrator to join our UH-60M Black Hawk team in Oakey, QLD.
We are seeking an experienced S&TE / GSE Logistics Specialist to support the daily operations of the Commonwealth-owned Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) within the UH-60M Tool Store at Oakey.
This role is responsible for ensuring equipment is accurately controlled, maintained, calibrated, serviced and available when required. You will play an important role in supporting logistics, supply, inventory control and asset management activities while working closely with multiple stakeholders across the organisation.
You will have proven experience in Defence or a similar logistics environment, with skills across:
- Inventory and stock control
- Asset management
- Supply chain and logistics
- Tool and equipment accountability
You are proactive, organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage tasks independently and work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day UH-60M tool store operations.
- Coordinate S&TE and GSE calibration, maintenance and servicing.
- Maintain inventory databases, tool control and asset records.
- Manage consumable ordering, supply support and stocktakes.
- Support asset and GFE audits.
- Issue, receive and account for tooling and equipment.
- Support continuous improvement and closure of quality findings.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and provide regular updates.
Essential
- Defence or comparable logistics experience.
- Strong inventory, asset and stock control experience.
- Demonstrated ownership and task management skills.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Desirable
- Warehousing experience.
- Current forklift licence and experience.
- Defence, aviation or regulated logistics experience.
- Experience with tool control, S&TE or GSE.
