Senior Project Engineer – Hydraulics Plumbing

Reporting directly to the MEP Construction Manager, you will take ownership of the delivery of all hydraulic and plumbing works across the project, leading and managing specialist plumbing subcontractors from procurement and installation through testing, commissioning and handover

This is a unique opportunity to work on one of Australia's most technically complex construction projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver mission-critical infrastructure while leveraging the global expertise of ACS Group, HOCHTIEF, Turner and Leighton Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of hydraulic and plumbing packages across the project lifecycle. Adapted from
  • Manage and coordinate specialist plumbing subcontractors to achieve safety, quality, cost and programme objectives.
  • Oversee the installation of sewer, sanitary drainage, trade waste, stormwater, rainwater harvesting and potable water systems.
  • Drive coordination between plumbing services and mechanical, electrical, structural and architectural disciplines.
  • Review designs, identify constructability risks and develop practical solutions.
  • Support inspections, compliance activities, testing, commissioning and final handover.
  • Monitor project progress and provide reporting to the MEP Construction Manager and broader leadership team.
  • Build strong relationships with consultants, clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with project specifications, relevant codes and data centre performance requirements.

About You

  • Relevant qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer delivering hydraulic and plumbing packages on major construction projects.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic services, including sewer, stormwater, potable water, rainwater and trade waste systems.
  • Demonstrated experience managing specialist subcontractors and coordinating multiple stakeholders
  • Experience delivering projects in data centres, hospitals, defence facilities, airports, laboratories or large-scale commercial developments will be highly regarded.
  • Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced project environment and drive successful project outcomes.
