Summary:

The Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and installing building frameworks and structures, such as walls, floors, and roofs using materials such as wood, steel, concrete, and composites. The Carpenter will also work with other tradespeople to ensure that project deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

·Cut, shape and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, steel and other materials

·Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using a pencil, chalk, and measuring tools

·Follow blueprints and building plans to meet needs of clients

·Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim

·Build scaffolding and other temporary structures to facilitate building construction

·Maintain clean and organized workspaces

·Inspect and troubleshoot machinery and equipment

·Complete all tasks in compliance with relevant safety regulations and quality standards

·Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute construction activities

·Train and supervise apprentices

Qualifications:

·High school diploma or equivalent

·3+ years of experience as a Carpenter

·Ability to read and interpret blueprints

·Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

·Ability to operate power tools and machinery safely and effectively

·Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds

·Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

·Good communication and teamwork skills

·Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
