The role

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the successful delivery of major civil infrastructure projects.

Working closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers and site teams, you'll take ownership of project planning, commercial performance, client management, quality and project delivery. You'll be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest standards.

This is an opportunity for a proven Project Engineer looking to step into a senior leadership role or an established Senior Project Engineer seeking exposure to larger and more complex projects.

Your everyday

  • Lead project delivery activities including planning, procurement, programming and construction coordination.
  • Drive strong commercial outcomes through forecasting, cost control, contract administration, claims and variation management.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring project expectations and contractual obligations are consistently met.
  • Mentor and support Project Engineers, Site Engineers and delivery teams while contributing to a positive and inclusive project culture.
  • Champion safety, quality and environmental compliance across all project activities.
  • Monitor programme performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement strategies to maximise project success.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders to ensure project milestones are achieved.
  • Support project reporting, forecasting and operational planning activities.

Who are you?

  • Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience delivering civil construction or infrastructure projects in a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer capacity.
  • Strong understanding of project programming, procurement, contract administration and commercial management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors, consultants and stakeholders across complex projects.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience mentoring and developing project teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with project management systems such as Jobpac, Microsoft Project or similar is highly regarded.
  • Current driver's licence.
