Chemical Engineering Summer Internship

Boss Energy Ltd is an emerging Australian uranium producer, advancing the Honeymoon Uranium Project in South Australia. Honeymoon is one of Australia’s first in-situ recovery (ISR) uranium operations to move into production in recent years, positioning Boss as a key player in the clean-energy transition.

We are offering a 3-month vacation placement over the university summer break (mid/late November – February). This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated chemical engineering student to gain first-hand experience in mineral processing, pilot-plant operation, and remote FIFO site work.

Placement details:

• Roster: FIFO 8 days on / 6 days off, 12-hour shifts

• Duration: ~3 months (Nov–Feb)

• Location: Honeymoon Uranium Project, Far North SA

• Inclusions: All flights, accommodation, and meals provided while on site

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily operation and monitoring of the process plant

• Routine sampling and analysis

• Troubleshooting operational inefficiencies

• Preparing and reporting operational data

• Contributing to operational improvements and innovative solutions

The student will work alongside site engineers and operators on broader plant and project activities, gaining exposure to real-world challenges in an operational uranium mine.
