Thepurpose of this job

Bupa Parklands Care Home is located onPapanui Road in Strowan, Christchurch, close to the communities of Papanui, Merivale, and St Albans. The home offers rest home, hospital, and specialist dementia (psychogeriatric) care.

As a Laundry Worker you will:

• Ensure all care is taken with the residents' personal clothing and is returned to owners
• Operate all laundry equipment as specified
• Meeting of daily schedules to keep laundry up to date and advising Managers of any issues
• Maintaining clean/dirty delineation areas within the laundry
• Monitoring of linen supplies and advising line manager of replacement needs
• Ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect

What you’ll needto make it possible

• Previous experience working in a commercial laundry is preferred, but training will be provided

• Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed

• Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents

• Reliable transport and travel arrangements

• Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
