Lead the procurement of critical long lead equipment powering Australia's digital future

The rapid growth of AI, cloud computing and digital connectivity is driving unprecedented investment in hyperscale data centres across Australia. At UGL, in partnership with CPB Contractors, we're delivering some of the nation's most significant mission-critical projects and we're seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our growing Data Centre team.

This is an opportunity to lead the procurement and supply chain strategy for critical long lead equipment (LLE) packages including electrical, mechanical and specialist data centre infrastructure, ensuring timely delivery to support the successful execution of complex, high-value projects.

Drawing on the combined strengths of UGL, CPB Contractors and the global ACS Group, you'll play a key role in securing the infrastructure components that power Australia's digital economy.

The Opportunity

As Procurement Manager, you will lead the sourcing, negotiation and delivery of major long lead equipment packages across hyperscale data centre projects from early project planning through to commissioning.

Working closely with project delivery, engineering and commercial teams, you will ensure procurement strategies are aligned to project schedules, mitigate supply chain risks and secure best-for-project commercial outcomes.

This role will be instrumental in managing critical supplier relationships and ensuring the timely delivery of equipment essential to project success.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead procurement strategy for major data centre projects.

· Manage end-to-end sourcing, tendering, negotiation and contract award.

· Procure critical long lead equipment and specialist infrastructure.

· Manage supplier relationships, performance and contract compliance.

· Maintain procurement schedules aligned to project delivery.

· Identify and mitigate supply chain and commercial risks.

· Drive cost optimisation, value engineering and continuous improvement.

· Partner with project, engineering and commercial teams to achieve project outcomes

About You

We're looking for a strategic procurement leader with experience delivering complex construction, infrastructure or mission-critical projects.

You will bring:

· Proven procurement leadership experience within construction, infrastructure, energy, resources or data centre environments.

· Demonstrated success delivering high-value procurement outcomes on large-scale projects.

· Strong commercial acumen with expertise in supplier negotiations and contract management.

· Experience managing long lead equipment procurement and complex supply chains.

· Ability to manage risk, drive value and deliver to critical project timelines.

· Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across project and executive teams.

· Experience in data centres, mission-critical facilities or related sectors is highly regarded.

· Tertiary qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering or a related discipline
