We are seeking a Food and Beverage Public Area Attendant to join our dynamic team and play a key role in supporting the Stewarding function within our organisation. Role Overview:

The Food & Beverage Public Area Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of all Food & Beverage public areas, including restaurants, bars, banquet spaces, corridors, seating areas, restrooms, and outdoor guest spaces.

The role ensures all guest-facing areas are consistently clean, sanitized, well-stocked, and visually appealing in accordance with hotel standards. The attendant plays a key role in delivering an Exceptional Memorable Experience (EME) by ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests.

Main Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain all assigned public areas, including restaurants, bars, banquet spaces, entrances, patios, walkways and seating areas.
  • Clean and sanitise guest and employee restrooms, ensuring they are fully stocked and presentable at all times.
  • Keep floors, furniture, fixtures, windows, doors and decorative areas clean and in good condition.
  • Support the Food & Beverage team with cleaning needs before, during and after service.
  • Remove rubbish, spills, trays, glassware and other items from guest areas as required.
  • Maintain and restock cleaning carts, supplies and equipment throughout the shift.
  • Use cleaning chemicals, equipment and protective gear safely and correctly.
  • Check assigned areas for damage, hazards or maintenance issues and report them promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and provide courteous service to guests.
  • Follow all hotel health, safety, sanitation and service standards.
  • Complete assigned checklists and ensure all areas are clean, stocked and ready for the next shift.
  • Work closely with supervisors and team members and assist with other duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Basic secondary education preferred
  • Training in cleaning or hospitality hygiene an advantage
  • Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, stewarding, or hospitality preferred
  • Experience in hotel, resort, or high-traffic public environment an advantage
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and consistently
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards
  • Basic understanding of chemical handling and safety procedures
  • Awareness of hotel guest service standards
