Senior eFuse Device Engineer

Our Sofia based team will enhance GF’s scale and capabilities, while strengthening competitiveness of its specialized application solutions to further position the company for growth and value creation.

Our Design and Technology Enablement teams are working on the development of a broad portfolio of semiconductor technologies ranging from 350 nm down to 12nm including FD-SOI, RF, High-Voltage, and automotive applications.

Summary of Role:

The candidate will develop and qualify eFuse devices by designing experiments, analyzing measurement data, and driving technology readiness for production applications.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experiments to develop and optimize eFuse device performance and reliability
  • Perform electrical characterization of eFuse structures and interpret measurement results
  • Analyze data to understand device behavior, variability, and failure mechanisms
  • Collaborate with design, process, and reliability teams to define test structures and validation plans
  • Develop and refine test methodologies for eFuse qualification across technologies
  • Drive root-cause analysis and propose solutions for device performance or reliability issues
  • Document results and provide clear technical communication to internal stakeholders and customers

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – Bachelor, Master or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field

  • Experience - 0–5 years in semiconductor device engineering, characterization, or related field

  • Skills:

    • Background in semiconductor devices and electrical characterization
    • Experience with data analysis (e.g., Python, MATLAB, JMP, or equivalent tools)
    • Familiarity with Cadence tools for layout and/or simulation
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Effective teamwork and communication skills
  • Travel - Up to 10%

  • Fluency in English Language – written & verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skills:

    • Experience with semiconductor device reliability and qualification flows
    • Experience working in cross-functional teams across design, process, and test
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong planning & organizational skills
