Corteva Agrisicence™ has an exciting opportunity for a Category Marketing Manager in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The position is primarily responsible for developing and implementing product / portfolio strategies, lifecycle management among crops, based on customer needs and regional asset strategies to maximize sales, market share, and profit margins for the given products; creating tactical implementations of marketing plan, positioning and demand planning for new product launches and for existing products.
The successful candidate must follow Corteva internal procedures, especially those related to the company's core values: high ethical standards, respectful people treatment, safety and environmental protection.
Key responsibilities:
Analyze various market segments, grower insights, product feedbacks and competitive dynamics to identify market trends, threats or new business opportunities and reflecting customer needs.
Develop and implement product strategies, launch plans, product positioning, scheduling projects, price developments, label extensions and licensing-in opportunities over the lifecycle of the assigned portfolio in close relationship with Local Corteva Team and European Product Managers and in accordance with regional business strategies
Be accountable for the Product Stewardship action plan and execution in line with Corteva guidance
Lead cross functional Local Product Concept Team to define new project requirements, to build business case, to describe strategic priorities, define product attributes, to design value proposition and create sales argumentation.
Define product prices based on regional guidance, market research and anticipated demand
Provide annual marketing plans for the given products and monitors them, participates in the business planning process , track performance of products versus plan , investigate significant deviations, and recommend corrective action as necessary
Devise and implement targeted multi-channel marketing campaigns for all portfolio across relevant customer segments and channels to support product objectives, drive demand generation and brand awareness; monitor campaign performance using defined KPIs, evaluate results, implement corrective actions, and continuously adapt strategies and tactics in response to market developments, customer insights, and emerging industry trends.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Engineering (preferably with additional master’s degree in marketing)
At least 5 years of experience in the Agribusiness industry. Experience in crop protection business, marketing, product management, development or commercial function, would be a plus.
Strong knowledge of the plant protection market, especially in in terms of the assigned product portfolio.
Good understanding of operational planning as well as product development processes.
Ability to successfully create, launch and manage brands.
Strong analytical skills in market research, including economic analysis.
