Executive Housekeeper

Description

The Executive Housekeeper directs all housekeeping and laundry operations, ensuring flawless cleanliness, maintenance, and luxury presentation throughout guest rooms and public areas, while building operational department structures prior to launch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pre-Opening Readiness: Establish operating procedures, design cleaning schedules, build the departmental manning guide, select linens/amenities, and manage the setup and handover of all guest rooms and public areas before launch.
  • Daily Operations: Direct housekeeping, laundry, and public area teams to maintain high standards of hygiene, aesthetic appeal, and guest room presentation.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Recruit, onboard, schedule, and train housekeeping staff on luxury cleanliness protocols, chemical handling, and safety standards.
  • Inventory & Budget Control: Oversee operating budgets, control linen and supply inventories, and manage contractor relationships (e.g., laundry, pest control, specialized cleaning).
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering for room maintenance resolution and Front Office to ensure efficient room turnarounds and turnover times.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

What Makes You a Great Fit; Who We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years as Executive Housekeeper or Deputy in a luxury hotel, with proven pre-opening project experience preferred.
  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of PMS systems (e.g., Opera Housekeeping module), fabric care, sanitation standards, and operating budget management.
  • Competencies: Sharp attention to detail, strong leadership, organisational agility, and fluent business communication in English.
