Finance Officer (Partnership)

The Finance Officer (Partnership) will support the Finance Department in managing the financial aspects of partnerships, including partner due diligence, agreement implementation, financial report review, compliance monitoring, payments processing, and document archiving. The position will work closely with implementing partners to strengthen financial management practices, ensure compliance with NRC procedures and donor requirements, and provide financial support during audits, reporting processes, and project implementation.

  • Review and verify partner financial reports, supporting documentation, and payment requests for compliance with NRC and donor requirements.

  • Process and monitor payments to implementing partners and ensure timely financial postings in Agresso.

  • Support partnership agreement negotiations and monitor financial compliance during project implementation.

  • Conduct financial capacity-building sessions and provide ongoing support to partners.

  • Perform partner financial monitoring activities and contribute to partner risk assessments.

  • Ensure proper filing, scanning, and archiving of financial documentation in accordance with NRC procedures.

  • Prepare bank reconciliations and follow up on payment-related issues with financial institutions.

  • Support audits, donor reporting, and financial reviews involving implementing partners.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of partnership financial management tools, processes, and reporting mechanisms.

  • Undertake any other finance-related duties assigned by the Finance Coordinator or Finance Manager.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum three (3) years' experience in finance, accounting, grants, or partnership management within a humanitarian, development, or recovery context.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.

  • Knowledge of Cameroon tax, labor, and financial regulations.

  • Experience reviewing financial reports and supporting documentation from implementing partners.

  • Fluency in French and English, both written and verbal.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Experience working with financial institutions, auditors, and local authorities is an asset.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a complex operational environment.
