BIM Coordinator - Mechanical

Overview

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical BIM Coordinator / Modeler to support the development and coordination of mechanical engineering BIM models across various building projects. The candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure accurate and coordinated project delivery.

Your role

  • Create, update, and maintain Mechanical BIM models using Autodesk Revit.
  • Model and coordinate HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Fighting, and other mechanical building services systems.
  • Collaborate with architectural, structural, electrical, and other project stakeholders to ensure model integration.
  • Conduct clash detection, troubleshooting, and coordination using Autodesk Navisworks.
  • Assist engineering teams in producing coordinated drawings and project deliverables.
  • Participate in BIM coordination meetings and contribute to technical discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, company procedures, and client requirements.
  • Support BIM model audits, quality checks, and validation activities.
  • Generate schedules, quantities, and model-based reports when required.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of BIM templates, families, and standards.

About you

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4–6 years of experience in Mechanical BIM Modeling and Coordination.
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP and Navisworks.
  • Experience in HVAC, Plumbing, Drainage, and Fire Fighting systems modeling.
  • Good understanding of multidisciplinary coordination and clash management.
  • Familiarity with BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), LOD requirements, and model management procedures.
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Experience working on large-scale building projects is an advantage.

Preferred Requirement

  • Experience with international design consultants/contractors and multidisciplinary design environments.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, Dynamo, ACC/BIM 360, and IFC workflows.
  • Familiarity with international BIM standards (ISO 19650).
  • Experience supporting projects through detailed design and construction stages.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively within a BIM team.
