Lead Producer

The Lead Producer oversees strategic client projects, mentors and develops the production team, represents the studio’s production capabilities internally and externally, and ensures accurate and consistent reporting to Virtuos Group. The role requires strong leadership, production excellence, and the ability to drive alignment across teams and stakeholders.

  1. Acting Producer on Key & Strategic Projects
  • Define goals, scope, milestones, budget, and risks for your own project.
  • Build and validate the production plan, schedule, and proposal for your project.
  • Keep your roadmap aligned; manage scope, change requests, and risk on your project.
  • Own quality and on-time delivery of all client commitments on your project.
  • You are the key point of contact for your current project(s), not just to other developers but across all disciplines & projects.
  1. Managing your Producer Team
  • Coach Producers on schedule accuracy and ownership of their own projects.
  • Set and uphold production methodology across the Producer team (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Mentor Producers and support their career development.
  • Keep a collaborative, efficient production culture across departments, for the team's projects.
  1. Representing Production
  • Represent production internally and externally, for the studio as a whole.
  • Build trust with client stakeholders through consistent communication, across all client relationships in the studio.
  • Lead discussions on schedule, budget, risk, and change (with clear recommendations, for any project in the studio when needed).
  • Drive alignment and resolve conflicts across cross-functional teams, studio-wide.
  1. Group-Level Reporting
  • Structured reporting on progress, risk, budget, staffing, and KPIs across all projects (yours and your Producer team's).

  • Deliver concise management summaries with clear insights, covering the full project portfolio.

  • Consolidate production data across all projects and contribute to group standards and best practices.

  • Senior production experience: 8-10+ years in production, including 2+ years as Senior/Lead Producer in complex creative or software environments; strong understanding of game development standards (publisher-side experience is a plus).

  • Game development expertise: You’ll have worked on 5+ games and are likely to be an expert in one or more technology areas, with solid command of game production pipelines, workflows, and industry practices.

  • Client communication: confident communicator able to manage senior client relationships and operate effectively in multicultural contexts.

  • Leadership & team management: proven ability to guide, motivate, and support cross-disciplinary teams; strong stress management and team coordination skills.

  • Production methodologies: expertise in Agile/Scrum/Waterfall; Scrum Master or equivalent certification valued.

  • Problem‑solving & pragmatism: pragmatic mindset with strong risk anticipation, scope control, and prioritization abilities.

  • Data & tools: familiarity with Power BI is an advantage.

  • Languages: fluent in English and French.

  • Cross‑studio coordination: experience working across multiple teams, studios, and stakeholders.
