Introduction to the Department
The principal role of Major Crime Unit Prepare Team is to support the daily operation of the department, through planning, administration, and performance reporting. The Prepare Team’s remit is varied and broad. With support being at the heart of the Prepare Teams ethos, we aim to assist the MCU to deliver against serious and force wide criminality.
About the Role
The primary purpose of this role is to assist within the performance reporting strand of Prepare, acting as the departments lead for APMIS submissions. APMIS is the system that MCU utilises to capture what impact, and disruptions have been made against organised criminality. With the expectation that the postholder will maximise opportunities to capture and drive APMIS submissions across the department. The postholder will be required to converse confidently with both stakeholders, APMIS inputters and SLT members, and to be able to extract data for the purposes of performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- To act as Department SPOC / SME for APMIS submissions
- To complete the daily moderation of all minor MCU disruptions, sending submissions for re-work where required.
- To assist with Moderate and Major disruptions assessments as demand dictates.
- Liaise and present at SLT level about APMIS performance.
- Respond to requests for data and statistics, on a weekly and monthly basis.

Salary and Shifts
Salary: Grade 5, SCP 21-£32,613
Shift patterns include shift allowance: There is no allowances for this role.
