Are you a qualified Primary Teacher looking for a part-time teaching position near Berwick-upon-Tweed?

Ripple Education is currently recruiting a PPA Teacher for two days per week at a small village primary school in the Berwick area, with an immediate start.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher looking for a consistent part-time role without the demands of a full-time class teacher position. Planning is provided, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging lessons, building positive relationships with pupils and becoming a valued part of the school community.

The school is looking for someone who can provide consistency for its children and become a reliable member of the team.

The opportunity

You’ll work two days per week, providing PPA cover across the school.

Your responsibilities may include:

Delivering lessons across different primary year groups
Planning lessons where required
Adapting teaching to meet the individual needs of pupils
Creating a positive, safe and engaging learning environment
Providing continuity and consistency for children
Managing the classroom confidently and positively
Marking pupils’ work in line with the school’s marking policy
Working closely with class teachers, teaching assistants and the wider school team
Following school policies, procedures and expectations
Following school and Ripple Education safeguarding procedures at all times

What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within a primary school
Confidence teaching across different primary year groups
Strong classroom management skills
High expectations for all pupils
A flexible and adaptable approach
A thorough understanding of safeguarding
The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

Availability to work two days per week on a long-term basis
