Do you take pride in keeping things clean, organised and running smoothly? As a Laundry Assistant at Daish’s Holidays, you’ll play an important role in making sure our hotels have a constant supply of clean, fresh linen for our guests.

Working as part of our housekeeping team, you’ll help ensure towels, sheets and other hotel linen are cleaned, dried, folded and stored to a high standard. What will you be doing?

• Sorting, washing, drying and folding hotel linen, towels and other laundry
• Ensuring clean linen is prepared and available for use by the housekeeping team
• Checking laundry for stains, damage or items requiring further attention
• Operating washing machines, tumble dryers and other laundry equipment safely and correctly
• Loading and unloading laundry equipment
• Folding and storing clean linen neatly and in the correct areas
• Keeping the laundry room clean, tidy and organised
• Monitoring laundry supplies and reporting when additional stock is required
• Working closely with the housekeeping team to ensure they have the linen they need
• Following correct procedures for handling soiled and clean laundry
• Using cleaning products and laundry chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH procedures
• Reporting any equipment faults, maintenance issues or health and safety concerns
• Following company Health & Safety procedures at all times
• Helping to maintain the high standards of cleanliness expected across our hotels
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties required to support the hotel team

• Good attention to detail and an organised approach to work
• Able to work efficiently and manage tasks during busy periods
• Comfortable carrying and handling bags of laundry and linen
• Able to follow instructions and established procedures
• A positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
• Someone who understands the importance of hygiene and cleanliness
• Able to follow Health & Safety and COSHH procedures
• Flexible and willing to support the wider housekeeping team when required
• Previous laundry, housekeeping or hotel experience is desirable but not essential, as full support and training will be provided

Hours

The role will include working weekends and bank holidays, with working hours arranged around the needs of the hotel and its housekeeping operation.

Laundry is an important part of keeping our hotels running smoothly, particularly around busy arrival and departure days, so reliability and flexibility are essential.
