What you'll be doing

In this role, you will play a key part in patient recovery, supporting the assessment and delivery of tailored treatment plans while ensuring dignity, respect, and high standards of care.

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based individual and group psychotherapy using an integrative approach tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Complete comprehensive psychological assessments, formulation and treatment planning, working collaboratively with patients to establish meaningful recovery goals.
• Develop and maintain strong therapeutic relationships, supporting patients with a range of complex mental health presentations.
• Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, contributing to clinical reviews, risk management and coordinated patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure all interventions are delivered in line with professional, ethical and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to service development, clinical governance, supervision and reflective practice, supporting the continued delivery of high-quality therapeutic care.

What you'll bring to the role

Applicants should hold a minimum Level 5 Diploma in Counselling or Psychotherapy, with accreditation through BACP, UKCP, or NCPS Senior Accreditation. Applicants who are not yet accredited must be working towards accreditation and able to submit an application within 12 months.

You will have strong clinical knowledge and experience in delivering integrative psychotherapy within a mental health setting, with the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet the individual needs of patients. You will demonstrate excellent assessment, formulation and risk-management skills, alongside the ability to build effective therapeutic relationships with patients experiencing complex mental health difficulties. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. You will be committed to evidence-based practice, professional development and reflective practice, with a good understanding of relevant professional, ethical and regulatory standards.
