What we’re looking for

You’ll ideally have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching within a secondary school
Strong knowledge of your subject specialism
High expectations for all pupils
Strong classroom management skills
Confidence with planning, assessment and adapting learning where required
A thorough understanding of safeguarding
The ability to build positive professional relationships with pupils and school staff
A flexible and proactive approach to working in different school environments

The role

Depending on the placement, you may:

Deliver engaging lessons within your subject specialism
Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment
Adapt teaching to meet the individual needs of pupils
Plan and assess learning where required
Provide effective classroom cover for short-term assignments
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, teachers and wider school teams
Follow individual school policies, procedures and expectations
Follow school and Ripple Education safeguarding procedures at all times
