The Role of Rotating Telehandler Operator

We are seeking an experienced and certified Rotating Telehandler Operator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of rotating telehandlers across a variety of construction and industrial sites throughout the Central Belt.

Working closely with site management and contractors, you will play a key role in supporting site operations through the lifting and movement of materials, equipment and personnel where required.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a rotating telehandler in accordance with site requirements and manufacturer's guidelines.
• Carry out lifting operations, material handling and positioning of loads using forks, lifting attachments and other approved accessories.
• Conduct daily pre-use inspections and routine equipment checks to ensure machinery remains in safe working order.
• Interpret lift plans, site layouts and supervisor instructions to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with site logistics and movement of materials around construction sites.
• Ensure all loads are secured and transported safely in line with lifting regulations and site procedures.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping around work areas and equipment.
• Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies, ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.
• Work collaboratively with site personnel, customers and the wider Jarvie Plant team to deliver excellent service.

Are you the right person for this role?

• You must hold a valid CPCS Blue Card (A77 Rotating Telehandler) or equivalent NPORS qualification.
• Experience operating rotating telehandlers within construction, civil engineering or industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of lifting operations and site safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible approach to working across customer sites throughout the Central Belt.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
