Georgia-Pacific is seeking an aspiring Process Control Engineer to join us as a Process Control Engineering Intern in the summer of 2027 as part of our Projects & Engineering organization. In this role, you will be part of team supporting multiple sites with process engineering projects and project execution. This intern will sit at our Perdue Hill, AL cellulose mill OR our containerboard mill in Monticello, MS.

What You Will Do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements through data analysis
- Support the development and implementation of data-driven solutions to optimize engineering processes
- Conduct research and provide recommendations based on data insights
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and execution in collaboration with facility teams and corporate resources
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship
- Eligible to work full-time on or by Summer 2028
What Will Put You Ahead
- Internship or project experience in an engineering, operations, and/or construction environment
- Experience conducting Root Cause Analysis or Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
