Role Overview
We’re looking for a Junior Legal Associate to join the Group Legal & Compliance team. This role will provide day-to-day legal support to the company’s operations, assisting with corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters. Working under the guidance of the Legal Director, this role will focus on drafting, reviewing, and maintaining legal documentation, supporting transactions, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate & Commercial Legal Support
- Draft, review, and support negotiations of corporate and commercial agreements (NDAs, SLAs, term sheets, LoEs).
- Assist in corporate governance matters, including statutory filings, drafting corporate resolutions, and company records.
- Provide day-to-day legal advice to internal teams under the supervision of the Legal Director.
M&A & Transactional Support
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and corporate restructuring projects.
- Coordinate with external counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of transactions.
Legal Research & Compliance
- Conduct legal research on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
- Summarize findings and provide practical recommendations.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Documentation & Record Management
- Maintain organized legal records and document management systems.
- Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and accessibility of all legal documentation.
- Support the preparation of reports and presentations for management or board-level review.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Liaise with internal teams to provide timely legal guidance and support.
- Coordinate with external advisors, consultants, and legal counsel as required.
Key Professional Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.), with admission to practice law in Greece.
- M. or postgraduate specialization in corporate, commercial, or related fields (preferred).
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- 2-3 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Exposure to corporate law, commercial contracts, or M&A transactions.
- Experience in financial services, real estate, or asset management sectors is considered a plus.
