Developer & IT Operations Specialist

Position Summary

Honduras Próspera Inc. is seeking a Developer & IT Operations Specialist to combine hands-on software development with responsibility for the company’s technology operations.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

Develop and release features for HPI’s software products and internal tools.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software bugs.
Handle technical support tickets related to HPI products.
Design, integrate, and maintain APIs and data pipelines.
Write unit and integration tests.
Participate in Git-based development and code-review processes.
Use AI-assisted development tools effectively for coding, debugging, documentation, and code review.

Systems and Identity Administration

Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
Manage Google Workspace, including user provisioning and deprovisioning, groups, email routing, and offboarding.
Manage DNS records, domain registrars, and renewal schedules.
Maintain Cloudflare zones, SSL configurations, Workers, routing, and access policies.
Maintain an inventory of system accounts, credentials, API keys, and ownership.
Conduct periodic access reviews and credential rotations.

Infrastructure and Technical Support

Monitor infrastructure and coordinate incident response.
Develop and maintain technical runbooks for recurring incidents.
Manage employee device onboarding and offboarding.
Provide internal helpdesk support and issue triage.
Coordinate physical and logical access-control systems.
Document recurring technical processes and workflows.

Required Qualifications

At least five years of professional experience developing production web applications using React and TypeScript.
Experience with Next.js, including App Router, SSR/SSG, and API routes.
Backend development experience using Node.js and TypeScript.
Experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
Experience with PostgreSQL and an ORM such as Prisma or TypeORM.
Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
Working knowledge of DNS, including A, CNAME, MX, TXT, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records.
Familiarity with Cloudflare, SSL configurations, access policies, and proxying.
Experience working in Linux and Bash environments.
Strong understanding of account security, access management, and credential hygiene.
Strong written and spoken English.
Ability to independently manage an issue from initial report through final resolution.
Availability to work on-site in Roatán.
