Field Service Technician

GEA is one of the world's leading technology suppliers for the food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. As part of our Service Team in Croatia, you will support customers with the installation, commissioning, maintenance and optimization of advanced processing equipment, including separators and decanters.
We are looking for a hands-on, customer-oriented Service Technician who enjoys working independently, traveling extensively, and solving technical challenges directly at customer sites.

Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Perform service, maintenance, retrofit, and repair work on separators and decanters
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues on-site and remotely
  • Install, commission, and start up new equipment, including I/O checks, water runs, product trials, functional testing, and customer handover
  • Carry out equipment adjustments and process optimization to ensure reliable operation and performance
  • Coordinate troubleshooting activities with internal technical support teams when required
  • Prepare service reports and technical documentation following service visits
  • Provide technical support to customers across Croatia and occasionally in neighboring countries (Hungary and Slovenia)
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular site visits and professional service support

Your Profile / Qualifications

  • Technical vocational education in mechanics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or a related field
  • Experience in service, maintenance, or commissioning of industrial equipment
  • Knowledge of pumps, rotating equipment, automation systems, or separation technology is an advantage
  • Independent, hands-on, and customer-oriented working style
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to travel
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)
  • Good Croatian and English language skills, both written and spoken
