Field Safety Officer

Supervise and assist the Area Safety Department Head in monitoring safety program implementations within the area of responsibility, to ensure a safe and healthful operation with all related GOI safety and health regulations, in order to provide efficient and effective safety reliable system to face crisis and emergency in supporting operation to meet the acceptable international safety and health standards.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

  1. Develop communications with each front level management in each area of responsibility and conduct a safety meeting with all levels of management in the assigned areas of responsibility, in controlling the safety accountability and health programs, to ensure all safety programs are implemented continuously and appropriately to gain better safety performance.
  2. Control the safety all exceeding activities carried out in assigned areas of responsibility, in order to monitor all recommendations of internal/external audits and investigation of incidents, to ensure its result implementation to close the loop of recommendations and standards.
  3. Develop safety procedures and policies related project in the assigned areas of responsibility to comply with safety standards and engineering aspects as well as to control the procedures and policies are followed and in place for the protection of the company and its employees.
  4. Organize and control industrial hygiene activities, such as hearing conversation program, respiratory conservation program, respiratory fit testing, etc. in the assigned areas of responsibility, to reduce exposure to dust, noise and other non-hygienic factors through sampling and monitoring of occupational health check program, in order to encourage the provision of a clean and hygiene workplace so that there are no health problems due to workplace hygiene.
  5. Prepare, produce, and issue report of NOSA progress status and present to department head of area safety and departmental SH committee, in performing function as of member NOSA department committee, to develop aspects of safety in the assigned areas of responsibility to comply with the concept of NOSA Safety Management System.
  6. Organize rescue volunteer in the area and to ensure they are trained and ready to respond to any emergency and ensure all employees in the assigned areas responsibility are trained in emergency procedure.
  7. Organize accident investigation in the assigned area of responsibility, to determine basic causes and recommend action to prevent re-occurrence with preparing all documents including safety statistics, accident analysis and other, to generate recommendation and action plan to the department head to prevent re- occurrence.
  8. Organize and control the internal audits in the assigned areas of responsibility to the critical procedures and policies implementation, in order to determine critical procedure training and to ensure the procedures are reviewed by all levels.
  9. Organize and control the implementation of safety program such as evacuation drills, safety publications, RCP and HCP programs, and provide module for the supervisory development programs in the assigned areas of responsibility in compliance with the GOI and international safety procedures and standards.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • S1 graduate in Engineering or other Technical Field with a minimum of 3 years' experience, preferably in the field of safety, environmental, public health.
  • Diploma-3 in Technical or Chemical Engineering with 5 years working experience, including applicable safety and health field.
    Preferably to have some trainings in Safety.

Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters)

  • Technical analysis skill.
  • English proficiency both verbal and written is a must, as long as upper management business is conducted in the language and because the increasing technical aspects of the operation are in English.
  • Computer literacy must be competent, in communicating with upper management and able to gather data and pertinent information from outside sources, to use the internet and also knowledge of safety standard (GOI, OSHA, MSHA, NFPA, etc.).
  • Communication skill at all levels.
  • Enthusiastic.
  • Be able to work in a team.
  • Report writing skill.
