What you will do
We are looking for a reliable team player to support our European accounting team. As part of the team, based in Letterkenny, you will be responsible the general accounting on a day-to-day basis (e.g. UK GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP reporting) for a Business Unit (BU) of PGIM Ireland. You will also be responsible for updating, reviewing, and reconciling the general ledger and the review and analysis of the results of the BU. The role holder will ensure that intercompany and third-party invoicing is completed in a timely manner and monitor the collection of receipts.
The role holder will be a key participant in the annual audit process and assist with internal audit related matters for the BU as needed. They will also assist with the timely preparation of board reporting, ensuring that the data is complete, accurate and clearly analysed for the readers of the reports. The role holder will assist with the development of accounting policies, procedures and guidance and will help ensure the overall control framework is maintained.

What you can expect
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reporting, liaising with the business and shared services centre colleagues to ensure robust and timely reporting.
- Participation in annual audit process.
- Preparation of intercompany and third-party invoicing and monitoring of receipts.
- Maintenance of control framework, including documentation of processes and controls.
- Participation in BU forecast process and variance reporting.
- Participation in projects e.g. to improve processes, reporting and control framework.
What you will bring
- Degree in a relevant field
- A professional accounting qualification or part qualified.
- Experience of reporting under UK GAAP, IFRS and US-GAAP.
- Experience of implementing and maintaining a control framework, including documentation of controls.
- Experience of external and internal audits, including participation with internal and external stakeholders, to ensure the timely and successful completion of the audits.
- Task orientated and able to analyse data and challenge inconsistencies to ensure data is robust and variances are understood and explained.
- Good communicator, able to explain technical accounting issues clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Skilled in office technology
