Maintenance Officer

Position Type: Full-time permanent Hours / FTE: 76 hours per fortnight, working across full year including school holidays (4 weeks annual leave)
Commencement date: ASAP — date to be negotiated with successful candidate
Term of Appointment: Ongoing position

Classification & Benefits: This role is classified as Level 3 Unaveraged under the NSW and ACT Systemic Catholic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2025 as updated or reviewed. Detailed information regarding the level, salary increments, and general employment conditions can be found within the Agreement.

Applicants must:

hold a valid NSW Working with Children Check
comply with the Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead Policy upon appointment

Selection Criteria:

Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work with all members of the school community both individually and as a member of a team
Understanding of and capability to apply Workplace Health and Safety standards, especially in the use and application of cleaning equipment and materials
Proven ability as a proactive and effective team member
Proven ability to execute proactive daily facilities maintenance, fleet upkeep, and physical logistics for school operations and events
Strong capability to support annual maintenance planning, complete site inspections, and supervise contractors to ensure compliance across core building services
Physical fitness is an essential criterion as the role requires some lifting and physical labour.
