Role Purpose

The Cash Management Specialist is responsible for managing the daily cash activities of Allianz Partners legal entities by performing daily cash reconciliations, cash forecasting, cash pooling, and cash investment activities. The role ensures effective liquidity management, accurate cash visibility, and optimal utilization of available funds while supporting financial stability and operational efficiency.

The position works closely with internal stakeholders and banking partners to monitor cash flows, manage excess liquidity, support investment decisions, and deliver accurate reporting on cash management performance.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Cash Reconciliation

  • Monitor daily cash balances across assigned bank accounts.
  • Reconcile actual cash balances against previous cash forecasts.
  • Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies and unusual transactions.
  • Review internal cash transfers and ensure funds are posted to the correct bank accounts.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of daily cash reconciliation activities.

Daily Cash Forecasting

  • Prepare and maintain accurate daily cash flow forecasts.
  • Analyze daily cash inflows and outflows, including receipts and disbursements.
  • Forecast daily cash positions for each bank account.
  • Ensure cash reporting is completed accurately and within established timelines.
  • Support liquidity planning through proactive cash forecasting activities.

Cash Pooling Management

  • Allocate funds between bank accounts to maintain adequate liquidity levels.
  • Execute and monitor cash pooling activities in accordance with company policies.
  • Optimize utilization of available funds within the Allianz Cash Pooling structure.
  • Support efficient treasury operations and liquidity management.

Cash Investment Management

  • Research and evaluate short-term investment and financing opportunities when cash pooling is not available.
  • Support investment of surplus funds into approved monetary assets.
  • Monitor investment activities to ensure compliance with treasury guidelines.
  • Assist in maximizing returns while maintaining appropriate liquidity levels.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Prepare financial reports to monitor cash management activities and performance.
  • Analyze cash management results and identify trends or improvement opportunities.
  • Support management reporting requirements related to liquidity and treasury operations.
  • Maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Process Improvement

  • Collaborate with Finance, Treasury, Banking Partners, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within cash management processes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency enhancements, and process standardization.
  • Promote best practices in cash forecasting, liquidity management, and treasury operations.

Key Requirements / Skills / Experience

Technical Expertise

  • Strong understanding of cash management and treasury operations.
  • Knowledge of cash reconciliation, cash forecasting, liquidity management, and investment activities.
  • Understanding of banking operations and cash flow management principles.
  • Strong finance and financial reporting knowledge.
  • Experience working within finance operations, treasury, or shared services environments.

  • Ability to synthesize complex information into structured and actionable insights.

  • Experience with treasury, banking, or ERP systems is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Treasury or Finance-related certifications would be advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in Cash Management, Treasury Operations, Financial Reporting, Banking Operations, or Finance Shared Services.
  • Experience with cash forecasting, reconciliation, liquidity management, or treasury processes is preferred.
  • Experience in multinational, shared services, or financial services environments would be an advantage.
