Function prerequisite:

• Work within the framework of NPA core values.
• Act as an ambassador for NPA, through professionalism and conduct.
• Adhere to all NPA policies, regulations and procedures.
• Maintain and care for all equipment issued by NPA and for any loss or damage, you will be liable for repair or replacement.
• Follow all verbal and/or written instructions, unless in direct violation of safety and duty of care.
• Ensure a safe workplace and protect all staff and equipment from damage/ injury.

Responsibilities:

General responsibilities

• Security of the camp, actively check on camp equipment and vehicles during times teams not present or sleeping

• Greet any visitors to camp and put in contact with site supervisor/senior staff

• Basic camp maintenance, water & power supply, tentage, food preparation, cooking, etc

• Basic camp cleanliness – food storage areas, toilets, accommodation and general

• Maintain camp safety – petrol and oil storage, fire safety, etc

• Conducting regular and repair maintenance on power generators and camp machinery

• Assist in placing orders for spare parts and consumables to logistics

• Assist in fuel supply to vehicles and generators

• Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and regulations,

• Assist when required in all the programs and projects spot checking and full inventory,

• Reporting any incident / accident immediately to the line manager

• Assist operation field teams in their needs when required

• Performing any other duties directly related to the position as may be required

Required qualifications:

Education:

Desirable:

• High School and/or equivalent professional experience in logistics field and mechanical maintenance

Experience:

Must have:

• Basic cooking skills
• Knowledge of the area

Desirable:

• Experience in working with International NGO`s

• 1 year of experience in this field

• Valid driving license

Other qualifications:

• Ability to live in remote camp setting for two-week periods (away from family)
