As our Land Survey Intern for our Survey & Geospatial team in Utah, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting survey projects through field data processing, CAD drafting, research, and mapping while working alongside experienced survey professionals in a collaborative team environment.

What You'll Do

As a Land Survey Intern, you'll support survey teams with data processing, calculations, CAD drafting, research, and project documentation while developing practical surveying skills.

• Survey Data Processing
  Process survey field data, perform data entry, and assist with organizing field information and survey project files.
• Survey Calculations
  Perform COGO calculations and support survey teams with technical calculations and data preparation.
• CAD Drafting & Mapping
  Perform field-to-finish CAD drafting of survey data and prepare CAD basemap drawings using Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
• Records Research & Map Analysis
  Research record deeds and analyze maps while plotting easements and other survey information from deeds.
• Project Support & Documentation
  File field notes and assist with other survey-related tasks while supporting project teams with day-to-day project needs.

Required Qualifications

• Current university student majoring in Engineering or Surveying
• Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
• Successful completion of Introductory and Advanced Plane Surveying courses
• Completion of computer-aided drafting fundamentals coursework
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous internship, coursework, or project experience related to land surveying
• Familiarity with survey field data and field-to-finish workflows
• Interest in developing a career in land surveying or geospatial services
• Ability to support field work as needed
