Accounting Supervisor

The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for assisting in developing policies and procedures and ensuring the accounting policies and procedures are distributed and adhered to globally. This position will manage and monitor the accounting and tracking process and provide support in identifying weaknesses and implementing corrective measures such as system changes, training sessions, and changes in policy and procedures.

Assists in the development and implementation of goals, policies, priorities, and procedures relating to financial management, budget, and/or accounting. Supervises and participates in the preparation of various financial statements and reports. Oversees the installation and maintenance of accounting records to show receipts and expenditures. Manages the maintenance of general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses, and insurance records. Directs and participates in cost analyses and rate studies. Prepares statements and reports of estimated future costs and revenues. Supervises internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls. Establishes system controls for new financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems. Coordinates preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting. Reviews financial statements with management personnel. Directs the installation and maintenance of new accounting, timekeeping, payroll, inventory, property, and other related procedures and controls. Preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).Analysis of financial data and preparation of financial reports. Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Preparation and review of tax calculations and tax reports in accordance with applicable tax legislation. Monitoring tax compliance and ensuring timely submission of tax returns and payments. Supporting tax audits and responding to inquiries from tax authorities. Monitoring changes in tax legislation and assessing their impact on the company’s financial reporting and tax obligations

Bachelor�s degree in accounting, finance, or business or equivalent relevant work experience preferred. At least 5 years progressive responsibility in accounting Master�s Degree preferred. CPA is preferred. Previous working experience in the drilling industry or with an oil-related service company is preferred. Ability to improve processes and establish policies and procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent analytical and quantitative skills. Excellent problem solving skills. English language strongly preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills, and proven people and organizational skills. Participative management style-advocate of team concept. Commitment to customer service.
