Procurement Manager

CPJ St. Lucia Ltd. is seeking an experienced and commercially focused Procurement Manager to lead the Company’s procurement function.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely, cost-effective and compliant sourcing of products, goods and services required to support the business. This role has responsibility for strategic sourcing, supplier management, inventory optimization, import procurement, landed cost accuracy, procurement controls and effective coordination with key departments across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

The Procurement Manager will:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, cost targets and continuity of supply.
  • Identify, evaluate and manage local, regional and international suppliers.
  • Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, contracts, rebates and service agreements.
  • Monitor supplier performance and establish alternative sources to reduce supply risk.
  • Work closely with Sales, Warehouse and Operations to forecast demand and maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Manage reorder points, lead times and replenishment cycles to reduce stockouts, overstocking, spoilage and excessive holding costs.
  • Monitor procurement expenditure and identify opportunities for cost savings and margin improvement.
  • Oversee import procurement, shipment coordination and landed cost calculations.
  • Ensure accurate procurement and costing information is maintained within ERP and inventory systems.
  • Maintain strong procurement controls, appropriate segregation of duties and compliance with Company policies and delegated authority.
  • Provide timely procurement analysis, supplier updates and risk alerts to support management decision-making.
  • Lead, coach and manage the Procurement team, including performance, accountability and capability development

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ procurement experience, preferably within food and beverage, FMCG, distribution, retail or wholesale.
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, contract management and procurement planning.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP platforms, procurement systems, inventory management and purchasing controls.
  • Experience in budget management, cost control and supplier performance management.
  • Experience with import procurement, landed cost analysis and logistics coordination would be an asset.
