Location Overview
Join our team in Amangalla. Amangalla lies within the ramparts of Sri Lanka’s 17th-century Galle Fort, a Unesco World Heritage Site. Offering views of the Fort and harbour on one side and the hotel’s lush gardens and swimming pool on the other, the historic residence presents lofty-ceilinged suites, elegant dining and a tranquil Aman Spa complete with Hydrotherapy Suites.
Role
Responsible for planning, organising and managing Reservations of Amangalla and Amanwella in a productive and efficient manner. Responsible for determining the optimal mix of business and managing distribution strategies on all channels to increase revenue and drive market share. Communicate reservation management strategic vision to other team members and ensure implementation.
Responsibilities
- Develop overall pricing strategy to include all market segment and distribution channel.
- Provide guidance on contracted account pricing (Travel Partners & Corporate FIT accounts) to the Sales team.
- Provide guidance on group availability and pricing. Ensure Group Guidelines and Target Rates are updated on a regular basis.
- Ensure effective and competitive pricing strategies are in place to reflect asset strengths relative to the competition and market dynamics.
- Effectively manage inventory and pricing strategies on all distribution channels including brand.com, third party websites and GDS.
- Focus on lowering distribution costs and driving room nights to Direct segment.
- Closely monitor competitive pricing and understand impact of pricing strategies on property performance.
- Consult with Sales Managers on rate/ inventory availability for all potential group business and oversee the management of Group Blocks from the PMS (i.e. group cut-off dates, rooming lists, group block activity)
Requirements
- At least 5 years previous management experience at International standard luxury brands
- Should have a minimum three years in a similar or related role
- Must have excellent written and spoken administration and communication skills.
- Above average competency in spoken and written English would be required
- Should have a high level of planning, process, time management within their skill set
