Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain enterprise level web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies
• Collaborate with senior engineers to design, implement, and test new features
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical discussions
• Work with databases to design schemas and optimize queries
• Assist in deploying applications to cloud infrastructure

Professional Qualifications and Skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Experience building enterprise level web applications with responsive design principles
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to make sound, objective decisions under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within teams and engage with clients and stakeholders
• Ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Strong business analysis skills with attention to business context and user needs
• Experience in writing high-quality technical documentation
• Commercially aware with the ability to balance technical delivery with business outcomes
• An understanding of the Australian Superannuation industry or financial industry and its business information needs is desirable
• Proven troubleshooting skills with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
• Preferred experience with financial services industry - banking, insurance etc

Technical Skills:

• Experience with programming languages, including C#, and .NET-based languages
• Strong understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript ecosystems
• Solid understanding of relational databases with excellent SQL skills (e.g. MSSQL, MySQL)
• Exposure to NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, DynamoDB) is an advantage
• Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services
• Familiarity with state management libraries (Redux, Context API, etc.)
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, etc.)
• Familiarity with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and prompt engineering
• Knowledge of AI integration in web applications
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, Bitbucket)
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and practices (unit, integration, automated testing)
• Understanding of security best practices and secure coding principles
