As our Luxembourg office continues to expand, we are seeking a Financial Accountant to support both our law firm and corporate services operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with experience gained in professional services or an accounting firm who is keen to broaden their expertise across a diverse range of financial activities.
Working closely with the Finance Manager in Luxembourg and the Group Finance team in Jersey, you will play a key role in the day-to-day financial management of the business. Your responsibilities will span general accounting, treasury management, financial reporting and budget monitoring, giving you exposure to a varied and interesting workload in a fast-paced professional services environment.

About the role
In this role, you'll:
Process and monitor day-to-day accounting transactions.
Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes.
Prepare account reconciliations and support the posting and review of closing entries.
Contribute to the preparation of annual statutory financial statements.
Assist with the preparation of tax and regulatory filings.
Support the day-to-day monitoring of cash flow and banking activities.
Perform bank reconciliations and monitor payments.
Contribute to the preparation of financial reports and management information.
Participate in the ongoing improvement of accounting and finance processes.
Assist in maintaining and updating financial procedures and internal controls.
Support projects aimed at optimising and automating financial systems and reporting tools.
Work closely with the Group Finance team and other departments across the business.
Assist in liaising with auditors, banks, tax authorities, insurance providers and suppliers.
About you – Essential Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
- 3 to 5 years' accounting experience gained within industry and/or an accounting firm.
- Solid knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP and financial close processes.
- Understanding of tax compliance requirements and financial reporting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential.
- Experience with accounting ERP systems would be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within international teams.
- Solid organisational skills, attention to detail and a proactive approach, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within agreed deadlines.
- Proven ability to proactively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to obtain information, resolve queries and ensure timely completion of finance processes.
- Professional working proficiency in English and French is required.
