About the Role

We are looking for an EPB System Development Engineer to lead the development of the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB)system throughout the entire product lifecycle, from RFQ phase to serial production. The successful candidate will be responsible for supplier management, system validation, software integration, and cross-functional coordination to ensure project delivery in compliance with technical, quality, cost, and timing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of the Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) system from RFQ to serial life.
• Manage the technical activities of suppliers responsible for the Motor Gear Unit (MGU) and EPB software.
• Ensure compliance with project milestones, development schedules, and technical deliverables.
• Coordinate activities across multidisciplinary teams, including systems, validation, quality, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Monitor software releases and verify compliance with functional and project requirements.
• Lead validation activities and analyze test results performed by internal teams and suppliers.
• Review and approve test reports, identify deviations, and ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed.
• Analyze issues identified during vehicle, bench, and laboratory testing.
• Drive corrective action plans and ensure their integration into subsequent software releases.
• Ensure the robustness, reliability, and performance of EPB functions throughout the development lifecycle.
• Monitor product and process maturity in accordance with APQP standards.
• Support engineering change management activities and implementation within the PLM environment.
• Ensure alignment with the Hardware Lead (calipers) by securing technical interfaces and development milestones between EPB actuators, calipers, and software.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
• Experience in automotive system development, preferably in braking, chassis, or embedded systems.
• Strong project management and supplier management skills.
• Good understanding of automotive development processes and validation activities.
• Familiarity with APQP methodologies and product development lifecycles.
• Experience in issue analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective action management.
• Knowledge of PLM tools and engineering change management processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills in a multicultural environment.
• Fluent in English.

Skills

• Knowledge of EPB, ESP, braking systems, and vehicle dynamics.
• Experience with software and hardware integration in automotive environments.
• Understanding of automotive quality standards and supplier development processes.
