About the Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Boat Captain to join our Front Office team in Jumeirah Olhahali Island.
- Operate and navigate the boat safely in accordance with maritime rules and regulations.
- Conduct daily inspections of the boat, engine, fuel, navigation, and safety equipment before every trip.
- Transport resort staff, supplies, equipment, and authorized passengers safely and efficiently according to operational schedules.
- Monitor weather, sea conditions, tides, and navigational hazards, taking appropriate action to ensure safe operations.
- Handle docking, undocking, anchoring, and emergency situations professionally while complying with maritime regulations and resort safety standards.
- Maintain accurate trip and fuel records, report mechanical or safety issues promptly, and ensure the boat remains clean, well-maintained, and ready for operation.
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a boat captain, preferably in a resort, hotel, marine transport, or similar environment.
- Valid Boat Captain / Master Mariner License or relevant maritime competency certificate recognized by the local maritime authority.
- Strong knowledge of boat handling, navigation, docking, anchoring, weather conditions, and maritime safety procedures.
- Basic Firefighting and Sea Survival/Safety Training certification.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification with basic emergency response training.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively with resort management, staff, guests, and marine teams.
