Job Description

The incumbent will be responsible for providing efficient and reliable ICT support services by maintaining and supporting the organisation’s technology infrastructure, business applications, networks, systems and end-user devices. The role will ensure the availability, security and optimal performance of ICT services through effective technical support, user administration, cybersecurity compliance, infrastructure management, project participation and digital transformation initiatives, while contributing to operational excellence and enhanced business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to end users by troubleshooting hardware, software, network and system-related issues.
  • Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices and other ICT equipment.
  • Assist in monitoring, maintaining and supporting business applications, databases and enterprise systems.
  • Support user account administration, including user provisioning, access management and password resets in accordance with company policies.
  • Participate in system testing, upgrades, deployments and implementation of new technology solutions.
  • Assist in monitoring network performance, connectivity and availability of ICT services.
  • Support server administration, data backups, disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
  • Assist in maintaining ICT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives by monitoring security alerts, identifying vulnerabilities and promoting security awareness.
  • Ensure compliance with ICT governance, information security, risk management and data privacy requirements.
  • Provide support for digital transformation projects and innovation initiatives across the business.
  • Participate in project planning, documentation, testing, implementation and post-implementation reviews.
  • Assist in gathering user requirements and recommending technology-driven solutions to improve business processes.
  • Maintain accurate ICT asset registers, inventory records, system documentation and user manuals.
  • Prepare periodic reports on support tickets, system performance, project progress and ICT service delivery metrics.
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to facilitate timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends and best practices relevant to the financial services sector.
  • Build technical, analytical and professional competencies through on-the-job training, coaching and assigned learning programmes.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the ICT Manager or designated supervisor in support of business objectives.
