The Mexico Marketing Team is a strategic marketing function within Global Business Marketing (GBM) responsible for accelerating TikTok’s growth through its B2B event strategy and execution in Mexico.
We design and execute high-impact business events that bring TikTok’s value proposition to life for advertisers, agencies, and key stakeholders. Through thoughtful content, seamless production, and memorable experiences, the team helps drive product education, industry positioning, and business growth. We work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Marketing, Partnerships, and regional teams to translate business priorities into event experiences that inform, inspire, and engage.
As the Event Specialist, you will support the planning, coordination, production, and execution of TikTok Mexico’s B2B events, taking ownership of specific operational workstreams and ensuring organized and timely follow-up throughout each project, under the direction of the Event Manager.
You will work closely with the Event Manager throughout the entire event lifecycle, actively contributing to efficient, high-quality execution. This includes supporting event planning and logistics, coordinating agencies and vendors, managing operational workstreams, and participating in on-site execution to ensure a smooth experience for attendees and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and production of B2B events across different formats and scales in Mexico, working closely with the Event Manager and production team.
- Coordinate assigned operational workstreams throughout the event lifecycle, ensuring clear ownership, organized execution, and alignment with project requirements.
- Track project timelines, checklists, action items, deliverables, dependencies, and risks, escalating delays or issues to the Event Manager as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including trackers, calendars, timelines, Run of Show documents, meeting notes, and shared project files.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including Sales, Marketing, and other cross-functional partners, to follow up on action items, owners, deadlines, approvals, and dependencies.
- Coordinate defined logistics and deliverables with venues, agencies, vendors, and partners, including quotations, documentation, materials, shipments, access requirements, and production needs.
- Support vendor and administrative processes, including purchase orders, contracts, invoices, approvals, payments, and other required documentation in coordination with internal teams.
- Support event logistics for registration, accreditation, guest lists, speakers, clients, talent, transportation, schedules, and attendee needs, helping ensure a smooth and cohesive attendee experience.
- Participate actively in event setup, rehearsals, live execution, and breakdown, taking ownership of assigned operational areas and executing responsibilities according to the production plan and Run of Show.
- Coordinate on-site workstreams such as registration, backstage operations, room turns, materials, guest flows, and vendor requirements, ensuring alignment with the overall production plan.
- Monitor and resolve operational issues within the assigned scope, escalating higher-impact decisions or risks to the Event Manager when necessary.
- Support production and project follow-up meetings by documenting agreements, owners, deadlines, and next steps, and ensuring timely follow-through.
- Support event reconciliation and administrative closeout, including final documentation, cost tracking, vendor follow-up, and capture of key learnings.
- Contribute to a collaborative and solutions-oriented working environment, supporting internal stakeholders, vendors, agencies, and external teams throughout event delivery.
Minimum Qualification(s)
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in events, production, experiential marketing, hospitality, or related fields.
- Experience supporting or coordinating events, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail and the ability to manage timelines, multiple priorities, and workstreams simultaneously.
- Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to adapt to changing needs in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, external partners, and vendors.
- Willingness and availability to work on-site and accommodate event-related schedules, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends as required.
Preferred Qualification(s)
- Experience working on B2B or corporate events, particularly within media, technology, entertainment, or advertising industries.
- Experience coordinating vendors, agencies, and venues across multiple projects or events.
- Familiarity with event production processes, including Run of Show, technical rehearsals, and on-site operations.
- Experience working with project management or event management tools to track tasks, timelines, and documentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot operational issues in real time.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate operational needs or risks.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team and build collaborative working relationships.
