As a Senior Employee Relations Investigator, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders, HR partners, and Legal teams across Mexico and Latin America. You will lead workplace investigations, provide guidance on complex employee relations matters, and help ensure the consistent application of company policies and legal requirements across Koch businesses.
Our Team
The Employee Relations & Compliance team is part of Koch’s Global Employment Team within Legal. In partnership with Labor Relations and Labor & Employment Counsel, our team supports Koch companies around the world by helping leaders navigate employee relations concerns, workplace investigations, compliance matters, and employment-related risk.
What You Will Do
This role provides exposure to some of the organization's most sensitive and complex employee situations. You will regularly support leaders and employees through matters involving workplace misconduct, harassment, discrimination, workplace violence, employee conflicts, and other challenging workplace concerns. Success in this role requires strong judgment, objectivity, professionalism, and empathy when navigating difficult situations and helping others reach effective outcomes.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
Demonstrated experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, HR or compliance.
Demonstrated experience independently conducting workplace investigations.
Working knowledge of Mexican culture, employment laws and regulations, and/or HR strategic practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English.
Experience producing clear, concise, and well-organized investigation reports.
Experience building collaborative relationships and working effectively in face-to-face and hybrid cross-border environments.
High level of professionalism, objectivity, and discretion when handling sensitive employee matters and partnering with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization.
What Will Put You Ahead
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to define problems, assess complex situations, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make sound recommendations
Experience coaching and counseling leaders and employees at all levels of the organization
Experience in a business-related role (HR, compliance, labor relations, accounting, finance, IT, sales, or law enforcement) with the ability to collaborate and build relationships across teams and organizational levels
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience working with unions or in a unionized environment
Bachelors’ Degree or higher
