Job description summary:
Provide support on a broad range of technical projects within the TDI Air Starters Team.
In this role, you will interact with a group of engineers with sound technical expertise in the area of Turbomachinery to solve some of the challenges that are present in our industrial commercial platforms.
Essential Responsibilities
Provide technical assistance to other engineers assigned to support different legacy programs.
Document technical data generated to substantiate the analytical results consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
Execute with extensive guidance Finite Element structural analyses of air starters meeting business standards, practices, and program requirements.
Get a full understanding of the air starters and the physics behind them, as you might be part of an effort to optimize the product through continuous improvement and cost reduction projects.
Participate as presenter of project status
Solve problems of limited scope and complexity regarding product performance and definition of different air starters families.
Analyze test data and reach conclusions and engineering recommendations.
Prepare engineering changes, presentations, and technical documentation to support technical discussions.
Ensure full compliance with business standards, practices, and procedures.
Qualifications / Requirements
Must be actively enrolled in a university within a minimum period of 1 year of remaining classes before graduating.
BS Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering student or similar background
30 to 40 available hours per week
Basic knowledge of Turbomachinery and Rotating machinery.
Mechanical analysis skills.
Programming skills
Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
Fundamental understanding of the design, test and analysis tools relevant to the function.
Proficiency in English language communication
Desired Characteristics
Knowledgeable in NX Unigraphics, ANSYS, or similar design software
Knowledgeable in Electrical Machines
Knowledgeable in Rotating Machinery and Turbomachinery
Knowledge in, C Sharp, Python coding v3 or superior
