Supply Chain Specialist

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Do “Whatever it takes” to meet or exceed our customers' expectations in compliance to OTD 95%.
  • Coordinate flow and documentation of export procedures.
  • Assist & Support in all shipping import/ export activities which deem necessary.
  • Be aware of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 procedures and policies.
  • Project improvement as required.
  • Responsible & Oversee Outbound activities such as: -
  1. Physical Shipment verification (shipment box labels/ shipping documents) and shipment release to forwarder
  2. Send booking confirmation to nominated forwarder for shipment under Ex-works & FCA/ FOB
  3. Monitor shipped shipments based on Fedex/ DHL pending list
  4. Resolve and reply to queries from Courier/ customer/ Forwarders.
  5. Co-ordinate & Send shipping documents to forwarders/ courier express for custom declaration before cut-off time.
  6. Coordinate with Inside Sales/ Planners for Customer Special Request (Palletization, Arrival Ship Notice, Oracle Transportation Management System Entry)
  7. Attend to audit request for retrieval of shipping documents
  8. Verifying Billing Invoice from forwarders
  9. Sourcing and Negotiation of Freight for shipment above 250 kgs
  10. Segregation and Sorting of Approved Custom Form for Filing
  11. Any other ad-hoc request as directed by superior from time to time.

Education & Experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or its equivalents with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in shipping/ logistics in a MNC with high mix high volume manufacturing environment (functional skills)
  • Must be PC literate in spreadsheet applications, knowledgeable & experience in warehousing or logistics management will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and reporting of information/data.
  • Possess logical thinking and analytical thinking skills.
