Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Business Partnering:
Define and implement financial strategies aligned with Group objectives.
Act as the direct liaison between local operations, Head of Integrated Projects, Head of FP&A, and the Group Head of Finance.
Evaluate financial performance by project and entity, proposing timely corrective measures.
Prepare, monitor, and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial modeling.

Local Operational Oversight:
Oversee the Country Finance Hub (CFH) in Mozambique to ensure accurate, timely financial reporting.
Ensure rigorous local tax compliance and adherence to regulatory standards.
Manage critical local stakeholder relationships, including banks, tax authorities, clients, and suppliers.
Lead and mentor the local finance team (Senior Accountant, AP/AR Lead, Procurement Manager, and Warehouse Lead).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Financial reporting turnaround time.
Tax and regulatory compliance rate (zero penalties/fines).
Cash flow predictability and optimization.
Accuracy of budget variance analysis and forecast precision.

Skills (Soft or Hard)

In-depth expertise in Mozambican tax, accounting laws, and regulatory requirements. Extensive experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and financial strategy. Proven capability to connect technical accounting with operational strategy and business objectives. Fluency in both Portuguese and English (spoken and written).
