HSSE Manager

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible to follow the Safety guidelines of the terminal

• Assist the HSSE team in conducting Risk Assessments, Controls and framing Standard operating procedures

• Train key process owners in detailed safety procedures so that they can impart the same to their respective departments

• Responsible to formulate the HSSE budget

• Takes part in investigations for incidents above a level 3 of risk using ICAM

• Involved in recommendation of disciplinary actions for person who do not abide by safety procedures

• Oversees all functions related to HSSE and keeps it up to date with local laws and corporate Global Policies

• Attend weekly review meetings with COO and MD and represent HSSE department

• Report departmental activities and Key Performance Indicators to the COO

• Ensure economical, efficient, and productive use of the department's equipment and manpower

• Motivate and encourage staff to achieve superior performance and reorganize achievements

• Manage the department's financial, administrative, and personnel activities

• Establish and implement Performance Testing Standards and Best Practices for HSSE department

• Will coordinate with Designated Champions and HSE officers for training schedules

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Experience in safety and security function in heavy engineering, energy, utilities related industry

o Preferable: 7 to 10 years

• Experience in managerial role

o Mandatory: 2 to 3 years

• Experience in port industry preferred

• Graduate/ Bachelors degree

• Preferable: Advanced study in management
