The Lab Analyst will work at the ALS Kombat Site in Namibia.
To perform accurate and timely geochemical analyses in line with established methods and quality standards
Compliance:
· Practice and drive the ALS Health and Safety Foundation Standards.
· Practice the ALS company core values.
· Abide by the ALS company policies and procedures.
· Abide by local legislative requirements at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct analytical tests using methods such as AAS, ICP-OES, XRF, or other techniques.
· Prepare samples for analysis according to SOPs.
· Record, interpret, and report results accurately.
· Follow QA/QC protocols and ISO 17025 requirements.
· Maintain laboratory instruments and report malfunctions.
· Adhere to laboratory safety protocols.
Minimum Requirements
· Diploma or BSc in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field.
· Experience in laboratory analysis, preferably in geochemistry.
Technical Competencies
· Proficiency in analytical instrumentation and sample preparation.
· Understanding of QA/QC standards and ISO 17025.
· Ability to use LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).
· Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
Strong knowledge of laboratory safety and chemical handling
