You will be a part of the Vattenfall BtC (Business to Consumer) Data & Analytics department, which develops data driven solutions for our customers and customer processes. The department is spread out in three business domain teams; where data experts and business collaborate closely to realize valuable data science solutions. Each Data & Analytics domain team consists of an Analytics Translator, Analytics Engineers and Data Scientists, and is supported by Data- & Machine Learning Engineers from IT.

We value joint development in ways of working and sharing best practices. This is facilitated in our data science authority and data foundation authority. As an Analytics Engineer, you will participate in the Data Foundation authority for knowledge sharing and creating standards for our work.

Your role
As an Analytics Engineer, you know how to support our business by creating the right insights from data. You can find the relevant data for every insight on our platform. You are an expert in adding new logic to it and in modelling this data in a way that enables users to answer their questions. You create relevant data sets and dashboards. In addition, you collaborate with the team how to keep improving our data products and convey your enthusiasm about data to the organization. In this position, you will have the chance to work with innovative technologies and make an impact!
Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Translate stakeholder requirements into actionable insights
  • Develop data sets and dashboards that empower users to answer their questions and to support business decision making
  • Explain how to interpret and use data sets and dashboards in a straightforward way to various stakeholders
  • Convey enthusiasm about data to inspire and engage the organization
  • Leverage data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth
  • Stay up to date with innovative technologies in the field of data analytics and leverage them to drive impact

Qualifications

Who are you?

As an Analytics Engineer you have a passion for data and are a good communicator. You are analytical, results-orientated, and like to work within an agile team.

Next to this you bring:

  • A completed HBO/WO education with a strong data or technical component
  • 3+ years of experience in (Analytics) Engineering;
  • Strong SQL and data modelling skills; experience with Snowflake and cloud platforms (Azure);
  • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, git and code reviews;
  • Experience with data visualization tools;
  • Enjoy delivering data sets or dashboards with business insights.

Your qualifications will be tested with a business case.

Additional Information

Our offer
The height of your salary is based on your education and relevant work experience. The salary for this position ranges from €4862 and €6077 gross per month, excluding holiday allowance, based on 38 hours per week. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive secondary benefits package, the most important components of which are:

  • Based on your annual salary: 8% holiday allowance, 4,5% end of year bonus and a profit sharing of up to 3.5% based on the results of Vattenfall Netherlands (RDR).
  • NS Business card for commuting or a travel allowance of €0.23 per km up to a maximum of 50 km one way and a home office contribution of €3,05 per day
  • 20 statutory vacation days, 5 additional days through My Budget My Choice, 2 extra non-statutory days, 3.5 vitality days, andif you work a 40-hour week on a 38-hour contract 13 extra ADV days.
  • My Budget My Choice budget, which allows you to purchase or sell extra vacation days, buy a e-bicycle, or simply receive it as addition pay.
  • Pensionplan at ABP: 70% by employer and 30% by you
  • Collective health insurance by Zilveren Kruis Achmea.
  • 4 hours of leave to perform volunteer work through the Vattenfall Foundation
  • Education budget, because we believe it is important that you can continue to develop yourself.
