Overview
Microsoft Norway is looking for an Account Technology Strategist to lead the technology agenda across a portfolio of major Norwegian enterprise customers spanning several industries, including telecommunications and architecture, engineering and construction.
As a trusted technology advisor to senior customer leaders, you will translate business priorities, industry dynamics and regulatory realities into a clear technology strategy and roadmap across the Microsoft portfolio. You will work at the intersection of AI, security, data and cloud, helping customers modernise their technology estate, build secure AI foundations and turn their Microsoft investments into measurable business value.
Working in close partnership with the Account Executive, you will orchestrate Microsoft's technical specialists, customer success resources, engineering teams and partners to shape opportunities, remove blockers and accelerate adoption and consumption.

Responsibilities
Own the customer's Frontier Discovery technology strategy. Own and deliver a customer-backed technology Frontier Discovery aligned to business outcomes across AI, data and security. Lead outcome-driven C-suite and line-of-business engagements by framing clear technical roadmaps, trade-offs and recommendations that drive customer decisions. Use the Customer Secure AI Assessment (CSAA) to translate readiness insight into an executive-ready strategy, and embed the outputs into Frontier Account Planning, 3 Horizon plans and the off-ramp to STU/CSU/Services.
Drive execution, value, consumption and usage. Make sure strategy converts to execution and value, growing ACR consumption, Billed Revenue and Copilot/Security usage. Lead and land new MACCs with consumption planning, attach and pipeline execution to hit ACR and Copilot targets. Own and secure renewals, and drive recapture to protect revenue and prevent attrition. Move Stage 1 opportunities to qualified pipeline across ACR, Copilot, Security and Billed Revenue.
Orchestrate technical leadership and raise the bar. Set the standard for the technology strategy by driving clear ownership and cross-solution alignment across STU/CSU/Services and partners to deliver industry-focused customer outcomes. Own the end-to-end technical narrative across the customer lifecycle, from Frontier Discovery through value realisation. Demonstrate strong executive storytelling and thought leadership in AI, security, sovereignty and agentic architectures.
Build trusted executive relationships. Grow and manage the technology relationship with senior technology and business leaders, document new IT decision makers in MSX, and improve customer experience (NSAT/ATQ) year on year.
Work across a mixed-industry portfolio. Apply and build knowledge across the industries in the OCI 1 and OCI 2 territories, including telecommunications and architecture, engineering and construction. Breadth across sectors matters more here than depth in any single one.
Governance and compliance. Hold the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct, meet company policy, regulatory and security standards, and manage risk proactively.
Qualifications
Required / minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or a related field AND proven experience of technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building or related technical, sales or industry experience, OR equivalent experience.
- Professional fluency in Norwegian and English, written and spoken. This is a customer-facing role in the Norwegian market and Norwegian is used daily with customers and internally.
- Experience engaging and influencing executive decision makers, including CIOs, CTOs and CISOs.
- Ability to work in Norway without sponsorship.
Additional / preferred qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field AND extensive track of technical consulting, technical consultative selling, practice building or related experience, OR equivalent experience.
- Extensive experaince in digital transformation, or using technology to drive customer business outcomes.
- Extensive experaince in business consulting, consultative selling or change management.
- Proven Experiance leading technical, support or partner teams.
- Experience leading AI, cloud modernisation or cybersecurity programmes at enterprise scale.
- Industry-recognised certifications in cloud, AI, security or architecture.
- Knowledge of the Norwegian enterprise market. Telecommunications or AEC experience is useful but not required, since the portfolio spans several industries.
- This role covers two territories with a mixed-industry portfolio, so you will build breadth across sectors rather than depth in a single one. It is based in Oslo and offers flexibility to work from home up to 50% of the time.
Account Technology IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across Norway is kr 798,000.00 - kr 1,470,000.00 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
