DNV Maritime’s AI Centre of Excellence - Smart Use of Data enable AI in DNV Maritime’s tools and global work processes, strengthening DNV’s leading position in digital innovation.

We are 30+ data scientists developing AI solutions in a professional setup. We are delivering innovation with AI to DNV’s business processes in close collaboration with domain experts and project teams. We are eagerly following and adopting new technology when relevant, using both open-source and commercial AI services. Solutions are programmed in python and are deployed to our container-based cloud AI platform. A success criterion for our solutions is the close collaboration with domain experts and an inclusive knowledge sharing culture in the AI team.

Typical tasks as a summer student in DNV Maritime would be:

• You will be working on a real AI development project where your contribution is aimed deployed to production by the end of the summer
• You will create professional python-based programming of AI agents or ML solutions
• You will contribute to projects supporting DNV’s global work processes
• You will work with and learn from experienced data scientists, who will help you succeed in your projects
• You will experience highly motivated colleagues and a strong company culture and many social activities

Who are we looking for?

• A candidate who is highly motivated to be part of the AI transformation
• A proactive attitude to engage with others to find good solutions
• Good communication skills in English
• Invested in keeping up to date with new AI technologies
• Strong practical ML and AI skills
• Good programming skills in python

We are primarily seeking 3rd and 4th year students with relevant Bachelor/Master Program specialization in:

• Computer Science / Information Science
• Artificial Intelligence
• Cybernetics / Robotics
• Physics / Mathematics
