Kitchen Assistant

Our Oceania villages across Hawke’s Bay are looking for a Casual Kitchen Assistant to join our team, providing flexible support across our sites as needed.

This is a varied casual role where you’ll work alongside our kitchen and care teams to help provide great food and service to our residents. You’ll need to be flexible with your availability and comfortable travelling between our Hawke’s Bay villages.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting with meal preparation and general kitchen duties
  • Helping our teams serve meals to residents
  • Providing friendly and respectful service
  • Keeping kitchen and food preparation areas clean and organised
  • Following food safety, cleaning and hygiene procedures
  • Providing support across our four Hawke’s Bay villages as required

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • A passion for preparing great food and providing excellent service
  • The flexibility to multitask and manage your time effectively
  • A team-first attitude with great communication skills
  • Strong organisation skills and an eye for detail
  • The ability to follow set cleaning and food safety procedures
  • Flexibility to work casual rostered shifts across different sites
  • Reliable transport to travel between our Hawke’s Bay villages
  • The right to work in New Zealand
