IT Field Engineer

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated IT Field Engineer to join our team in Christchurch. This permanent, full-time role is essential for providing on-site technical support and solutions to our clients. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems, contributing to the overall success of our business by delivering exceptional service and technical expertise.

Note: This role will be based at one of our High schools.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site technical support for hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and systems.
• Diagnose and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their IT needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Conduct regular maintenance and updates on IT systems.
• Document all support activities and maintain accurate records.
• Assist in the implementation of new technologies and upgrades.
• Train clients on the use of IT systems and software.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience in a technical support role, preferably in the IT industry.
• Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
